When my last girlfriend dumped me, I joined two bands playing the drums, because she hated drummers. POW! Now having finished my PhD, I’m going through another severe 20s crisis, so I decided to start a couple of new bands to dull the pain…brutal crises call for brutal music!

Immaculately conceived in the womb of Melbourne’s insanely diverse underground, MAXXIMAL PATERRORIST is a new and uniquely brutal free-grind duo featuring wunderkind Max Kohane (Agents of Abhorrence) and experimentalist Anthony Pateras (Pateras/Baxter/Brown & Pateras/Fox duo)

Combining relentless grind drumming and free jazz brutality, MAXXIMAL PATTERRORIST unleash a rhythmically charged onslaught of superhuman proportions, violently destroying borders between Discordance Axis, Cecil Taylor, Corrupted & Xenakis.

-Fox and I have been recording a new album based on material that we were performing on our tour last year, plus some new goodies…should be out 2nd half of the year if the label gods permit.

-Pateras/Baxter/Brown have a new album coming out on emd.pl records soon…home to some damn fine artists…

-Hopefully, the Pateras/Abrahams surround DVD will see the light of day in the 12 months…

-AND maybe a new chamber music record….5 years in the making!
